Ken Uhlig

KenKenneth (Ken) Uhlig is the Managing Director and Principal of Global People Strategies.

Prior to formulating Global People Strategies, Ken spent 30 years in the technology sector in a variety of C-level and officer HR roles with industry leaders such as Computer Horizons, NCR Corporation, Nortel Networks, Equant Inc, and EarthLink Inc. His technology expertise spans the computer, semiconductor, telecoms equipment supplier, managed data services, software services and Internet industries, along with his background in the executive search industry. Earlier in his career, he was an English teacher and a high school wresting coach in New Jersey where he grew up. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Ken brings a diverse global and cultural view to the table, as he has lived and worked in Europe (Paris), Asia (Tokyo) and North America, and has managed international HR organizations with employees in over 150 countries. From start ups in the private sector to publicly traded companies at the 30B level, Ken has been a key business partner in growing companies at all levels of revenue evolution and transforming companies to win in the local and global arena.


His overall knowledge of the full business cycle and enabling human capital requirements brings depth and expertise from the search and talent assessment side of the business to understanding the importance of the organizational and cultural fit. Because of these skills, he has great insight into how executive teams and organizations work and the types of skills and environments that are required for success based on the current evolution of the business.

Ken is known in the executive suite as having a great eye for and developing talent, bringing the best out in people, a coach and mentor, building strong relationships, a business person that carries an HR Toolkit, and most important......a focus on results and high quality work.

Ken, his wife, and two children live in Kennesaw, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. He is active in the community and plays golf and tennis.
